In early 2023, the club set up a fund (capped at $4000pa) to be set aside for funding & encouraging talent within our club. Applications for funding go to our Talent Encouragement committee which comprises the club's management committee & Head Coach. The committee then reviews and evaluates the submitted applications.
Here are the initial guidelines indicating the funding available to club members:
Intercontinental travel (up to $2000)
Oceania (NZ/Fiji etc) travel (up to $1500)
Domestic travel: (up to $1000)
Interstate travel (up to $500)
Intra-state travel i.e. outside SQAS (up to $250)
Interstate travel (up to $250)
Intra-state travel i.e. outside SQAS (up to $200)
Local i.e. No accommodation (up to $100)
Local i.e. No accommodation (up to $75)
Specialised coaching (up to $500)
One (1) accepted International Level per member per year.
One (1) accepted National Level per member per year.
Two (2) accepted State or Local Level per member per year.
Unless specifically requested and/or by committee agreement, any funds will be disbursed after the event has happened.
Please submit applications & intentions as early as possible so that we can forecast & budget accordingly.
