Archery Training

Want to improve your archery? The best way is to invest in yourself, before investing heavily in your equipment. Our club offers many levels of & opportunities for training & coaching for all ages.

Skill Levels

Social

Our lowest level, and also our entry requirement to the club is for an Archer to complete our Come & Try class. This will give you the basics of archery, covers all the important safety topics, and sets you up with all you need for the social sport of archery.

Beginners

To level up beyond Social Archery, it is highly recommended to attend one of our quarterly Beginners Course and/or participate in the competitive OzBow program. They will teach you solid archery foundational skills and the archery competition basics respectively. Both programs have a minor one-off cost. We also offer a free seminar on how to prepare for and what to expect for Your First Competition, For children, we also have our monthly Youth Squad program to teach & encourage our younger archers.

Intermediate & Advanced

Once a member has successfully move beyond the basics, we have a senior coach available every Saturday morning to provide free ad-hoc coaching, tips, & advice to all our members.

Additionally, after an archer has met or exceeded the final scores & distances of OzBow, archers will be able to enrol in our Intermediate Archery Course. After completing the course, and again achieving minimum cut-off scores, archers will again be invited to enrol in our Advanced Archery Course. The idea of these courses is to help get you to & prepare for state-based & national-based performance programs, and tournaments.

Our club also has more than half a dozen Senior Male & Female (level 2) coaches who are qualified to provide 1-on-1 training with aspiring archers. We also have an extensive network of other coaches & archers we can call on for specialist needs as well.

National & International

We currently have several archers at our club who compete & win at the National Level, plus archers, past & present, who officially represent Australia in Archery on the world stage. We have the people with experience, who can get you to get you to the top echelons of World Archery if you're dedicated enough. We support our club archers all the way to the very top levels.
